This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The service is incredible, always so friendly, giving out samples and giving out information about the foods. This place is authentic with food made with ingredients strait from Oaxaca. The ambiance is beautiful. It is very colorful and decorative. It’s right next to the original Starbucks so it is very busy. Their tacos and tamales are my favorite. I will say the food can feel a little heavy. This place is definitely worth a try to at least go once.

I only put three stars on the atmosphere because it was just a counter with a couple of stools to sit at, otherwise this place is incredible. Maybe I'm picky but for five stars I want tables with linen and stuff, but if this place had to sit down restaurant I would probably drive to Seattle just for dinner. The tamales were absolutely perfect. Not greasy, fluffy and delicious. The pozole was truly exactly like my grandmother used to make, and left me craving more when I left. We took home blue corn masa harina to make tortillas at home, and the location right next to the original Starbucks was nice and convenient if you're at the market. Highly recommend

The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the Gorditas and Tamal, and the chipotle sauce that accompanied them was incredible. Originally, we came to visit the original Starbucks(literally next door), but ended up indulging in some amazing Mexican food instead. It was totally worth it!

You need to eat here! A small seating area in a small restaurant with a ton of walk up traffic (many tour guides picking up samples for their organized foodie tours). The staff here is friendly and the food is absolutely incredible and made fresh to order. I had the tlacoyos and would highly recommend.

I had a veggie taco and horchata and both were great. The taco came with a green sauce on the side and would not recommend skipping this as I felt the veggies could use the extra flavor boost but will certainly order the again.

Pozole from here is top notch! We also had some of the tortillas. They specialize in using 60 varieties of heirloom corn from small family farms in Mexico.

Unbelievable authentic Mexican recipes (Mexico City)!!! I tried the Pollo Verde with the Mango Sangria drink. The salsa was tempered by the pickled onions. I can't believe this place doesn't have a line as long as the Starbucks store next door. Maybe that's the only saving grace for us locals trying to get an incredible meal. My friend had the Chilaquiles. The hand-made tortillas are made in the store with red corn (see pictures). I'd give this tiny place 10 stars if I could!! Happy 2nd Anniversary at Pike Place Market, Maiz!!
